Award ceremony for exemplary architecture 2010-2017

Jan. 23, 2018

Award for Bahnstadt Heidelberg – Open space concept including the “Promenade“ and “Langer Anger“ projects

In order to sharpen our awareness for everyday architecture, the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects has launched a competition for exemplary architecture. It seeks to detect exemplary buildings in actual living contexts, and to honour architects and developers for their joint commitment.
The jury awarded 14 projects for providing successful solutions for their particular briefs in the exemplary architecture competition in Heidelberg, for which Mayor Prof Dr Eckart Würzner was patron. Under the chairmanship of Dr Fred Gresens, architect from Hohberg and regional director of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects, the jury sat for two days and struggled to reach a decision from among the 65 entries.
The developers and designers received plaques and documents in honour of their exemplary commitment.
