Some key projects of Latz+Partner are currently displayed at the new campus of the Hunan Normal University in the Taozihu Cultural and Creative Industry Park (桃子 湖 文化 创意 产业 园). The exhibition is organized by the HGG Cultural & Data Center.

The purpose of this exhibition is also to present the current project of Latz+Partner in Huangshi, China, which is the transformation of the now decommissioned DongGang steelworks into a landscaped park with integrated commercial and tourist uses.

Some elements on display are artefacts from the steelwork factory: machines, steel plates and small parts that were used only a few months ago to manufacture and process steel.

Tables and banners present the history and selected projects of 50 years of Latz + Partner’s creative work, supported by a video projection showing images of the Landscape park Duisburg-Nord.

At the opening on November 10, Ulf Glänzer and Han Mai led the two directors of the university Dr. Ing. Li and Prof. Jiang and some employees through the exhibition. The projects with a focus on conversion of decommissioned industrial plants aroused great interest. The directors said that China is currently undergoing a phase of industrial transformation and the work of Latz+Partner is exemplary in this context.

The exhibition will run until the beginning of December 2017.
