Growing together:

July 26, 2016

At the heart of St Peter’s Square not only the tram lines and stops are nearing completion but now also the intended continuous green canopy is taking shape.

21 Semi mature trees are being planted in that zone this summer. Situated next to and even on the platforms the trees and passenger shelters featuring coloured glass jointly form a canopy in various shades of green. Also back on the square is St Peter’s Cross, refurbished and now situated in the axis of the Central Library, marking the footprint of the church that once stood here and was eponymous for the square.
