Latz+Partner have been planning the open spaces for the new hospital building, which is one of the largest non-university hospital construction projects in Bavaria, as a team under the leadership of Nickl & Partner Architekten since 2021.
The official ground-breaking ceremony has now taken place, attended by around 120 guests, including the clients and planning team, representatives of the construction companies, employees of the hospital as well as political representatives, in particular Minister President Dr Markus Söder and Bavarian Health Minister Judith Gerlach. The opening is planned for 2029.

On 2 October 2024, the project was awarded the BIM Prize Bavaria 2024 in the category ‘Comprehensive use of BIM models’ by the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Construction and Transport.
