The Landscape Park Duisburg Nord turns 20

In summer 1994 the park was officially presented to the public. A big party celebrated the parts of the park brought to completion to date a delight for its designer Peter Latz and the charismatic director of the IBA, Prof. Karl Ganser.
20 years later and 23 years after the start of the project, the trees have grown to shade-giving groves. The impressive constructions of the industrial age have been used in a new way. In their present-day appearance they area touristic attraction, they are urban landscape and park with promenades and gardens, a place for culture and social action, sports, education and pleasure.
