The new fountain, including the statue column and historic fountain figure, is currently being realised

Since 2022, Latz+ Partner has been planning and realising open spaces on Freising Domberg, of which the central areas, Domplatz and the adjoining Domhof, are close to completion. The cathedral square and cathedral courtyard are among the most important open spaces on the Domberg. Framed by historically significant buildings, the square is of great importance to the church and the public. The new design of the two spaces is currently being implemented hand in hand with archaeological excavations and investigations. The square will be available to visitors again in time for the state exhibition in May 2024 and offer space for numerous functions.
