Open Spaces

The charm of the seasons, of weather and of flowering belongs to the archetypal repertoire of our life cycle, not as a decorative element but as an essential one. Moreover, this includes not only agreeable but also frightening occurrences, such as lightning and thunder. In our open space, there may be more information beyond form and design than in them. Does design perhaps only prepare a place so that we can experience those natural occurrences?

Surely our repertoire particularly includes protecting against natural occurrences, against too much wind, too much sun, too much noise, and against all kinds of adversities. What interests more is to study and apply more systematically the things that we perhaps use spontaneously, such as the invisible aspect of visual communication or the non-visible aspect of aesthetics.
