    With the principles of landscape urban development, state-of-the-art tech and engineering solutions, the world’s best architecture firms transform urban isolation zones – landfills, wastelands and undeveloped sites in the city center – into key public spaces. The soon-to-open Zaryadye Park, built on the site of the demolished “Rossiya” Hotel, and Freshkills Park, located atop the world’s biggest landfill, serve as vivid examples of revitalizing urban spaces.

      Peter Latz traitera d’aspects qui caractérisent surtout les projets à long terme. Il illustrera son propos en se basant sur trois exemples : un parc paysager de Duisburg « ayant atteint l’âge adulte », un parc de Turin tout juste achevé et un parc en devenir dans la région de Tel Aviv. Il abordera le thème de la transformation des structures ainsi que la question de savoir comment appréhender le chaos urbain. Utilisant l’exemple de l’eau, Peter Latz éclairera le lien qui unit l’écologie et la technologie et exposera le dualisme existant entre « nature sauvage et paysage », la métamorphose des éléments et la façon dont elle peut être mise à profit de manière multifonctionnelle.
